Our main goal is to improve people’s health and well-being by reducing loneliness and isolation. We focus mainly on men and women aged 50 years or older who live in Ely, Caerau, and the surrounding areas of Cardiff.
We seek dedicated individuals with diverse experiences and a passion for making a positive, commitment to their community and feel passionately about isolation and loneliness and their effects on people, including physical and mental health issues.
We are looking for new individuals to join our board, who will be

You will use your knowledge, skills, and life experience to guide, safeguard and promote the values of the organisation. You will work within a dedicated team to determine strategy and structure for the Dusty Shed, and monitor the organisation in an effective, responsible and accountable manner.
The Dusty Shed is part of a worldwide movement called ‘Men’s Sheds’, however we do not restrict membership only to men. We operate a well-equipped woodworking workshop where men and women can work on practical projects like woodworking or almost anything else they’re interested in, or simply turn up for coffee and a chat.
We are looking to fill the post before the end of March.
